Hey Everybody!
I am incredibly excited about my trip to Japan!
On July 9th, I will be leaving from RDU, and on August 7th, I will be retuning to North Carolina. I am going to be staying with Tomo Maehana, my year-long exchange student the entire time I am in Japan, however, we will be traveling together all across the main island, Honshu.
LABO, the Japanese equivalent of 4-H has helped coordinate and plan my trip.
While in Japan, Tomo and I will go to many places with cultural and historical value, such as Hiroshima, Miya-Jima, Kinkaju-ji, Todai-ji Temple and a variety of authentic Japanese restaurants.
I am glad that I will also be able to experience pop culture in Japan. I will go to Universal Studios of Japan, Diamond City ( a large shopping mall), and a variety of Purikura boothes.

I will try to write you all as much as possible, using this blog and snail mail.
When possible, I am going to try to put pictures up so you can see what I have been up to!
If you would like, you can send me a letter at Tomo's house. I can be reached at:

If you can, I would love it if you all could post messages, pictures, or anything else on my blog!

Hi Sarah,

I'm enjoying your blog so much. You write so well that I feel just like I'm there, too. It's like a really good book that I don't want to put down. I'm so glad that you're not afraid to try anything new. I'll keep tuning in for your latest adventures.

Sarah,

You have always enjoyed living on the edge and experiencing all that life has to offer. I am so excited that you were able to take advantage of such a wonderful opportunity. I have enjoyed reading all about your visit so far.

You know me, I am anxiously awaiting to see more photos!

Keep smiling girlfriend!

Hey Sarah,
How cool is this trip! It looks like you're having a great time in Japan (though I think that I would have starved to death by now if I was there!). Eat a squid for me! Keep having a great time and I can't wait to hear (or read) more about your awesome adventure!
